As a physiotherapist, Stephanie’s goal is to work with you. She will create a plan that will allow you to reach your goals, feel better in your body and move how you want, when you want.

Stephanie believes in a whole body approach and incorporates a model developed by Dr. Linda-Joy Lee called ConnectTherapyTM. This is a functional, hands on model that takes into consideration the whole person– not just the area that is painful or symptomatic. Using her skills she works to find the root cause of your pain/symptom.

Stephanie also has special interest and advanced training in vestibular/dizziness disorders, post-concussion vision retraining and vestibular disturbances. As a lifelong learner she is continually improving her skills to provide the best care for her patients. Steph has completed courses in: soft tissue techniques, anatomical acupuncture, strength and conditioning, IMS/Dry needling, neuro dynamic mobility and many more. She has also had the pleasure of assisting with Dr. Linda-Joy Lee on her ConnectTherapy Series and short courses.

Stephanie is an Island girl, born and raised. After graduating from high school on the Saanich Peninsula she accepted an athletic scholarship with rowing as a coxswain to Oregon State University “Go Beavers!” She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from OSU in 2006 and was immediately accepted to the University of Toronto where she completed her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2008. Stephanie was very happy to be able to move back to the Victoria area and has been working in private practice here for the last 10 ½ years, most recently in Langford. Steph is excited to join the wonderful team at Cedar and Sage and continue to help patients reach their full potential.

When Steph is not in the clinic you will most often find her with her young family, enjoying nature. They love hiking, biking, camping, playing ultimate frisbee and enjoying local festivals and events.

Leigh is excited to be joining the Cedar and Sage Physiotherapy Clinic team after managing the University of Victoria Physiotherapy Sports Injury Clinic for many years. She graduated from the University of Toronto and has worked in Toronto, South Africa, Vancouver, Whistler and Victoria.

Throughout her career, Leigh has taken a wide variety of continuing education courses and since becoming a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT), she has been an instructor in the National Orthopaedic Division Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Program.

She completed Dr. LJ Lee’s ConnectTherapy(TM) Series in 2015 and assisted in the Series that year and continues to take further courses as this approach evolves. ConnectTherapy™ is a functional, hands on model that takes into consideration the whole person, not just the area that is painful or symptomatic. This holistic approach considers all regions of the body to find the true driving cause of an individual’s pain and dysfunction. It can be used with all clients from those with acute and chronic injuries, to those with complex multiple areas of symptoms or recurring muscle strains and ligament sprains. This approach to assessment and treatment has been a phenomenal framework to understand the root cause of a problem helping you reach your optimal physical goals.

Leigh’s knowledge and passion for teaching is evident in her approach to treatment as she helps you understand your problem or symptoms so that you feel empowered to help yourself.

When not in the clinic, Leigh enjoys ocean kayaking around our beautiful gulf islands, hiking, playing golf and tennis and travelling around Southern Africa, hiking in the desert south western states or lush New Zealand coastline.
